Background
Pharmacists are key healthcare professionals for a safe and effective use of medicines by patients. Nevertheless, all medicines can produce undesired effects, which may compromise the safety of the pharmacotherapy. Detecting their occurrence and offering information and assistance to patients are some of the roles of pharmacists.
