  Background

  Depression has harmful effects on individual’s health, including suicidal ideation. WHO described depression as a “social and economic burden”. It is often underestimated and undertreated, less than 10% of depressed patients receive treatments. About 5% of the worldwide population is affected, women having a higher prevalence than men.
