Background
Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) is a plasticizer used in the manufacture of a variety of common products made of PVC. The most common exposure to DEHP occurs via the oral route. Following ingestion, it is rapidly metabolized to mono-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (MEHP). MEHP is then metabolized to mono-2-ethyl-5-hydroxyhexyl phthalate (MEHHP).. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
