Backgrounds
In pre-filled syringes (PFS) filled with high concentration drug products a progressive gelation of the liquid in the needle might occur, leading to a blockage and a consequent incorrect administration of the drug. Under certain storage conditions water vapor might diffuse to the environment through the rubber of the needle shield.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
