Background
Ghana made a bold step towards providing comprehensive healthcare for all when it launched its NHIS in 2003. Serious issues are now threatening the sustainability of the scheme. Radical changes are needed. This review discusses the role of the Pharmacy in mitigating some of the challenges facing the scheme
