Background
Metformin hydrochloride (MH) is the first-line medication for type 2 diabetes. It is also used in combination with repaglinide (RG). To our knowledge, there is no study available in the literature in regard to intestinal permeability of MH in diabetes, and potential effect of RG on its permeability.
