  Background

  Perinatal depression (PND) affects 10-15% of women and can be managed by primary health care professionals (PHCs). Pharmacists are ideally positioned to provide PND advice and support. However, increasing pharmacists’ PND competence remains unexplored and a psychometrically evaluated questionnaire of basic PND knowledge is unavailable.
