• Abstract:

  Background

  Pre-eclampsia and eclampsia are two hypertensive disorders of pregnancy, recognised as major causes of maternal and perinatal death worldwide. Pharmacological prevention measures are limited to low dose aspirin. It is of vital importance that the current therapies for these diseases are as effective and safe as possible.
