Background
Whilst animal models such as the dog and pig are frequently used during the drug development process, physiologically based pharmacokinetic models (PBPK) are now more routinely implemented during the evaluation of new oral formulations. The pig has always been an animal of interest, but unlike the dog, this species has not been equally..
