Methods
We combined literature review with assessment by an expert panel. Drugs were classified in one of the categories: safe; no additional risks known; additional risks known; unsafe; and unknown. Recommendations were categorized by the severity of cirrhosis. An advice was considered clinically relevant if action by a prescriber or pharmacist
