Backgrounds
Sugar-based surfactants are an emerging broad group of biocompatible and biodegradable compounds with established and potential future applications in the pharmaceutical and biomedical industries. They are non-ionic surfactants with antimicrobial abilities and absorption enhancing potential for biologics delivery.
