- Abstract:
Backgrounds
Sponges are benthic animals living on the seafloor. Due to the outstanding diversity of marine natural compounds they produce, many of which show pharmacological activity, the chemistry of sponges has been in the spotlight of marine natural product research. Since the 1990s 500 new potential drug-leads from the sea have been found each.. The access to the whole abstract and if available the presentation file is available to FIP members and to congress participants of that specific congress.
