Backgrounds
Sterilizing soft biomaterials, such as hydrogels, is particularly challenging for biomedical industry due to their known sensitivity to conventional methods involving heat or radiation. Ozone gas sterilization is emerging as an effective, inexpensive, safer and environmentally friendly technology compared to standard technologies.
