Pharmacists’ stories revealing equity issues during the COVID-19 pandemic published by FIP

A collection of articles by pharmacists that reveal a variety of equity issues under the COVID-19 pandemic is published by FIP today, as part of the federation’s EquityRx programme.

These include a personal account of how vaccine rollouts do not always reach the vulnerable communities, and a look into the higher risk of COVID-19 related morbidity among African Americans compared with other ethnicities. Other articles discuss topics of domestic violence, abuse of health workers, and women in science and education. The articles, which form FIP’s second EquityRx Collection, under the theme “Inequities unmasked”, are available now at FIP’s new EquityRx resource site:
