This event will explore how pharmacists can expand their roles to support women during this transition. Chronic non-communicable diseases (NCDs), such as cancer, chronic respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases and diabetes represent a worldwide health challenge. According to the WHO 41 million people die each year from NCDs, accounting for 74% of all deaths globally. Prevention and management of chronic diseases is dependent on reducing underlying risk factors. Community pharmacists and their teams are ideally placed to raise chronic diseases awareness, identify those at risk and be the driving force behind earlier detection and referral to primary care partners for screening, diagnosis and intervention. At this event, the “Chronic Disease Service Framework” to support pharmacists in providing a range of NCD pharmacy services will be presented.

FIP is proud to announce a special digital event on 24 October 2024, in recognition of World Mental Health Day. This webinar will focus on the current state of mental health policy and practice globally, with particular emphasis on Türkiye, UAE, Saudi Arabia, and India. Pharmacists and policymakers will come together to discuss approaches to mental health care, addressing key challenges and opportunities for improvement. The MyDispense Symposium will take place from 13th to 16th July 2025 at the Monash Prato Centre, Italy, marking the 15th anniversary of the MyDispense programme. This event will introduce MyDispense version 8.0, incorporating features such as Medication Administration Records (MAR), Pharmacist Independent Prescribing, and diagnostic tools for pharmacists. The upgrade also includes enhancements to ePharmacy workflows and patient avatars to improve the realism of training exercises.
